Your train journey will pass by spectacular scenery including the Fraser Valley, the swirling whitewater of Hell’s Gate, and imposing Castle Mountain. Optional add-ons include helicopter tours, sightseeing excursions in Banff National Park, and extended stays in the area.
2. Journey through the Clouds
Traveling between Vancouver and Jasper, this package also spans two days on the train with an overnight in Kamloops. The highlight of this route is the stunning scenery of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and the magnificent Pyramid Falls. You can select from a variety of Jasper accommodations, from cozy cabins to upscale hotels. Additional experiences such as wildlife tours, lake cruises, and visits to the Columbia Icefield can be included.
3. Rainforest to Gold Rush
This lesser-known and infrequently operated route will take you from Vancouver to Jasper via Whistler and Quesnel. Over three days, you will enjoy diverse landscapes, from the coastal rainforest and desert-like Fraser Canyon to the Cariboo gold rush region and the rugged mountains of the Rockies. This package includes overnights in Whistler and Quesnel, with options for different accommodations in Jasper. Activities in Whistler include mountain biking, a ride on the Peak-2Peak gondola or just strolling through this famous mountain resort. Upon reaching Jasper, activities you can enjoy include hiking, stargazing, and exploring Maligne Lake, known for the intense color of its water.
4. Rockies to the Red Rocks
This unique experience in the American Southwest connects Denver and Moab, Utah, with add-ons available from Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
